The Kareena Kapoor Khan led The Buckingham Murders has take a dull start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, The Buckingham Murders has collected in the range of Rs. 1.15 to 1.35 crores on the opening day, putting the vibe of trade back in the unhappy space.
The film has seen a limited release in India on just 700 screens and will be looking to see a jump in business over the weekend. The Hansal Mehta directorial will look to double up on Saturday and target an opening weekend of Rs. 6 crores. It will then boil down to the Monday test for this Ekta Kapoor production.
The Buckingham Murders has taken a dull start due to the trailer, which had the vibe of a direct to digital product. The film looked like a poor product from the word go and Kareena Kapoor’s presence has pushed the business to the upside of Rs. 1 crore.
Its a failure but we need to see if it can reach a facesaving result by end of its run.
