1. Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput to Space Travel in ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’
India’s first sci-fi film has debuted with Sushant Singh Rajput and female lead Shraddha Kapoor. Nawazuddin Siddiqui also co stars with the pair as they make their way into outer space. The plot of the film focuses on three astronauts portrayed by the trio. The film begun shooting in September 2017 and involved intensive training for its cast. Sushant had visited NASA’s shuttle simulators in the US to encounter zero gravity, space suits, and even a multi-axis trainer to add authenticity to the film. Released on 26th January 2018 the film also includes R. Madhavan in a central role.
2. John Abraham and Debutante Aisha Sharma Cast in ‘SMJ’
The new action-packed thriller SMJ is yet to release being directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar. The film will cast John Abraham with love interest and Bollywood debutante Aisha Sharma. Aisha is the sister of Neha Sharma, an actress from ‘Tum Bin II’ and has previously worked in the modeling industry. She is making preparations for SMJ by taking part in workshops and speech classes as shoot starts on March 18th. The film will also see Manoj Bajpayee in a pivotal role.
3. Kriti Sanon to Star Alongside Sidharth Malhotra in Sequel to ‘Ek Villain’
Riding on the success of her performance in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, Kriti Sanon has taken up two more films to add to her portfolio. She is set to star in ‘Arjun Patiala’ a film by Dinesh Vijan also starring Diljit Dosanjh. Kriti has also reportedly bagged a role in ‘Ek Villain 2’ to be directed by Mohit Suri. This film stars Sidharth Malhotra, and is a sequel to ‘Ek Villain which had Shraddha Kapoor opposite Sidharth. The news is unofficial as no confirmed statements have been made about the casting. Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film ‘Aiyaary’ has been yet again postponed.
4. Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain Star in Debut Filmmaker’s Loveratri
Aayush Sharma, brother in law of Salman Khan, and debutante actress Warina Hussain are scheduled to shoot ‘Loveratri’ with an also debuting filmmaker Abhiraj Minawala. The film is produced by Salman Khan, whom also decided on Warina making lead actress in the film. The story revolves around Aayush playing a Gujarati boy who falls in love with a girl, Warina, and is set in Gujarat.
5. Amy Jackson to Star Opposite Salman Khan in ‘Kick 2’
According to director Sajid Nadiadwala, he plans to create a sequel to his previous film ‘Kick’ that will feature Salman Khan once again. Fans are on anxious to know who the female lead will be for this second round. There have been reports that Jacqueline Fernandez will come back for the sequel, but others claim that British star Amy Jackson is to be given the role. Amy has starred in ‘Freaky Ali’ with Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan. She is also the lead actress in ‘2.0’ alongside Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar and to be released in April 2018.
6. Hrithik Roshan Long Waited Pairing with Sara Ali Khan in Upcoming ‘Super 30’
Sara Ali Khan is reported to be working on two new films this year, one being a period film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker starring Arjun Kapoor, and the other being ‘Super 30’ alongside Hrithik Roshan. The latter film portrays the life of mathematician Anand Kumar from Patna. Interviews with Roshan point out that he is excited to make a collaboration with Sara and has introduced her to director Vikas Bahl, who made Queen. Sara will debut in her first film ‘Kedarnath’, set to release in December 2018.
7. Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez Ready to ‘Drive’
Stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Sushant Singh Rajput have been cast together for the first time in ‘Drive’ and also started shooting. Jacqueline had a successful year with ‘Judwaa 2’ as well as being cast alongside Salman Khan for ‘Race 3’. Sushant is awaiting the release of film ‘Kedarnath’ which will mark Sara Ali Khan’s debut. His other much-awaited film for 2018 is the sci-fi film ‘Chandamama Door Ke’.
8. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt Starring in Musical Drama ‘Gully Boy’
One of the most anticipated films to come, ‘Gully Boy’, will star Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt paired for the first time in Bollywood. The duo has been previously paired in a string of successful ads for Make My Trip. The film is a musical set in the slums of Mumbai to be directed by Zoya Akhtar. It is scheduled to release on 14th February 2019.

The next Milap Zaveri action-packed thriller will star trio John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee, and lead actress Tamannaah Bhatia. Recent news reports explain that Tamannaah landed the role as she was perfect for the part and enjoyed the script thoroughly. She is to be seen on screen doing action sequences with her co-stars. The Zaveri film is currently working on a title and will be confirmed for shooting in January 2018.
