Batti Gul Meter Chalu box office collection Day 4 Rs 26.42 crore.
Shahid Kapoor’s latest film Batti Gul Meter Chalu might have faced an unsatisfying opening, however, the movie faced a slow weekend for a star-studded film that had no major competition. After four days, the film’s collection is Rs 26.42 crore. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Batti Gul Meter Chalu stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu had been released in the theaters along with Manto, that is attracting very distinct segment audience, in comparison to it, Batti Gul Meter Chalu’s has witnessed a wider audience. Still, it looks this film, that tackles the issues of electricity thieving and over-charging, isn’t performing up to the mark. Narayan’s previous film, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, that featured Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, was seen dealing with a social issue – sanitation.
Film critics have given review speech, “The film is very informative for its own good, Batti Gul Meter Chalu was very careful in not giving a lot of lectures in the movie which could make the movie obnoxious for the viewers. Though the rest of the movie was light in nature. Also, the but obvious questions were asked in the movie as to how will one survive in today’s world without electricity. ”
