Aamir Khan’s next is Forrest Gump’s adaptation Lal Singh Chaddha; 10 things to know about the original movie

On the occasion of Aamir Khan’s 54th birthday, the Dangal actor spilled beans on his upcoming movie plans. He announced that he will be seen in an official adaptation of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump. Yes, you read it right! In the remake of Forrest Gump, Aamir will be seen as a Sikh and the film has been titled as Lal Singh Chaddha. He further went on to reveal that the remake is written by Atul Kulkarni and shooting for the same will begin in October. During an interaction with the media, Aamir also mentioned that he has always been a fan of Forrest Gump which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.

We are excited to see Aamir Khan as Lal Singh Chaddha as the actor is known for his power-packed performances. Now, talking about the original movie Forrest Gump, it starred Academy Award Winner Tom Hanks as the lead actor. Tom Hanks delivered an astounding performance in the movie and won hearts all over the world. The commendable performance delivered by Tom Hanks is still etched in our mind. Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, and Sally Field starrer Forrest Gump is said to be one of the best movies in the history of cinema.

6: Tom Hanks was not paid for the movie. Instead, the actor took percentage of the collection which earned him around $40 million.

8: In a scene where Forrest Gump is seen playing ping pong, another soldier told Gump that the trick is to keep an eye on the ball. After that advice, whenever Tom Hanks is seen playing ping pong, he never blinks.
